Auction Terms and Conditions
Our starting prices will under no circumstances be lower than the estimate.
The lot will be awarded to the customer who places the highest bid, at one bidding increment above the immediately lower bid, plus an 18% surcharge covering the commission.
In the event of identical bids, the lot will be awarded to the first bid received.
The award of a lot constitutes a binding obligation on the bidder to purchase. Payment must be made within 12 days of receipt of the invoice (sent by email). All lots remain our property until full payment has been received.
Late payment: If payment of the purchase price and the buyer’s commission is not made within 12 days from the invoice date, Ets David Delhaye sprl reserves the right to cancel the sale.
Shipment of the lots is made at the buyer’s expense. However, the risks remain our responsibility until the lots are received (Lloyd’s insurance).
All claims must be made by email no later than 7 days after receipt of the lots. After this period, no claim will be taken into consideration.
No claim will be accepted for lots described as: to be examined, defective, and for all lots consisting of more than 6 stamps, as well as for collections.
In the event of a dispute, only the courts of Brussels shall have jurisdiction.
Bidding increments:
up to €50: €2
from €50 to €100: €5
from €100 to €250: €10
from €250 to €500: €25
from €500 to €2,000: €50
from €2,000 to €5,000: €100
from €5,000 to €10,000: €250
from €10,000 to €25,000: €500
from €25,000 and above: €1,000
Payment by credit card, HiPay, or PayPal incurs an additional 2% fee; payment by cheque incurs an additional €12 fee.
